Ria Shah (she/her/hers) is a Georgia native serving as a therapist at GAFC. She earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and obtained her Master's in Social Work degree at the University of Georgia.
As a first-generation immigrant from India, Ria brings both personal understanding and professional commitment to supporting individuals navigating the unique challenges of this identity. Ria is also deeply passionate about helping individuals through interpersonal conflicts, self-esteem issues, academic pressures, and substance use disorders. Ria is dedicated to offering a compassionate and collaborative approach, focusing on personal growth and long-term healing.
In her free time, Ria enjoys swimming, painting, baking, and listening to Taylor Swift on repeat. She cherishes spending time with her loved ones and will likely be found watching a movie in a theater near you. Some of her favorite movies include Jurassic Park, Coraline, and Inside Out. Ria is committed to creating a supportive and empowering environment for clients, drawing from both her academic background and personal experiences.
