Children

Childhood is unique in the fact that it is an especially important point of intervention. If family, school faculty, or other providers are concerned about mental health issues, early intervention can be extremely valuable to that child's present and future quality of life.

Greater Atlanta Family Counseling uses art techniques, play techniques, and music techniques to assist in facilitating the therapeutic process with children.

We are prepared to assist children who are experiencing depression, anxiety, transitions/adjustments, ADHD, or children that have experienced psychological trauma.

Adolescence

11 - 18 years old

Adolescence is a critical time of development. Teens have to navigate high school, hormones, social life, and extracurricular activities. Many teens are in the process of discovering their identity. There is often pressure for teens to perform well academically in order to get into a strong college, or perhaps the opposite, with teens struggling to finish high school.  Older teens can struggle with anxiety over the prospect of leaving home, or if they're not sure what their plan is.

Greater Atlanta Family Counseling wants your teen to lead a happy, healthy, and successful life.

Please feel free to contact us if your teen struggles with any of following:
