Ashley Buchan (she/her/hers) is a Master of Social Work student at The University of Kentucky. She grew up in Atlanta and obtained a degree in English and Women’s Studies from The University of Georgia. Ashley firmly believes that therapy is for everyone and that we are all capable of healing from past trauma and learning to live life as our most authentic selves.
Ashley has always been passionate about helping and supporting others. Her diverse background includes time spent teaching high school special education and language arts, and she is a level II certified Reiki healer and certified End-of-Life Specialist. She is particularly interested in issues around trauma recovery, navigating major life changes, healing from high-control religious abuse, divorce, parenting, and serving the LGBTQIA+ community.
In addition to her commitment to mental health, Ashley owns a small business selling vintage clothing, accessories, and art. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She and her wife have a beautiful blended family of five kids, three cats, a dog, and a hamster.
