If you’ve experienced rape or sexual assault, you may be carrying fear, shame, confusion, or emotional numbness that feels impossible to explain. You may be struggling with triggers, difficulty sleeping, or feeling disconnected from your relationships, or even from yourself.
These responses are normal. And you don’t have to face them alone.
Through a partnership between the DeKalb Rape Crisis Center and Greater Atlanta Family Counseling, we are able to provide a safe, confidential space where you are believed, supported, and empowered to heal at your own pace. We are highly experienced in working with survivors of sexual assault.
There is funding available for survivors to receive therapy services that would cover the treatment at no cost to the client.
Our Services Include:
Individual Therapy
A safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Our trauma-informed therapists provide compassionate support, helping you process difficult emotions, manage triggers, and build practical coping skills. Through individualized care, you can begin to reclaim your sense of safety, strength, and self-confidence.
EMDR Therapy
Often referred to as the gold standard of trauma therapy, EMDR is a powerful, research-supported approach that helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories, reduce emotional intensity, and restore a sense of safety and control.
Trauma-Informed Marriage & Family Therapy
Support for rebuilding connection, trust, and communication in relationships that have been affected by trauma. According to the Gottman Institute, one of the leading voices in relationship therapy, it is highly recommended to include partners while a person working through trauma.
Survivor Group Therapy
A supportive, confidential space to connect with others who truly understand your experience. Many survivors find group work profoundly grounding and empowering.

Healing does not mean forgetting…it means living with freedom again.
You Are Not Alone. You Are Not “Too Much.” You Are Not Broken.
